More on our email-only clicks under 60 seconds filter to help you avoid inaccurate CSAT ratings and spam catcher survey responses.

At Stella Connect, our goal is to provide you and your team the most accurate, real-time, data about the experiences your customers are having daily. That’s why we’re constantly updating and improving the defenses we have in place to identify bots like spam checkers before automated clicks pose the threat of affecting your survey data.

What is a spam checker?

A Spam Checker a security system put in place (usually by an email provider or employer) to protect real people from phishy links. They interact with tons of emails sent by marketing teams and service providers, and we’ve been dealing with them since Stella began!

Why does it matter?

Some spam checkers will click every link in an email to make sure it’s safe, which can theoretically generate renegade clicks and false views of your survey.

How does it work?

While spam checkers update and change to be at the top of their game, we do too! In order to verify that a human is behind each one of your survey responses, we’re implementing a filter on an answer to the first question in your survey received immediately after a survey request email is sent.

This change will continue to ensure that your data is clean and most accurately reflects your customer sentiments by limiting the interactions of spam checker bots! It’s very likely you won’t see any substantial change to your reporting due to this fine tuning of existing anti-spam work we’ve done in the past.

If you have worked with Stella Connect CSMs or Support Team in the last few months regarding this, your settings will remain as discussed.

If you have questions about the impact this change may have for your org specifically, please feel free to reach out to your Client Success Manager.
